100 Thieves' run at the League of Legends World Championship came to an end recently, when the team failed to qualify out of the group stage of the tournament. Following this development, the LA-based esports organisation made the announcement that this season would be the last under the leadership of general manager Christopher "PapaSmithy" Smith, as he has now left the organisation.

As revealed over Twitter, 100 Thieves stated, "A legacy for the books. Today marks the last day of @PapaSmithy's contract and tenure as General Manager of 100 Thieves League of Legends. Thanks for everything Chris and wishing you the best on your next chapter."

There's no mention as to who 100 Thieves will be bringing in to take over the role, and likewise, PapaSmithy has yet to reveal where he will be heading next.
