343 Industries is looking to kick off the 2023 season of the Halo Championship Series very soon, and ahead of that, the Halo developer has now announced what the format will look like for the upcoming Charlotte Major.

The event will feature an open bracket to start with, where 96 teams will be fighting for a spot in the 16-team pool play section, which will include the partered HCS organisations, and four qualified teams from the open bracket. This will then lead into the 12-team Championship bracket, where teams will be fighting for the tournament title.

As for how you can register your interest in competing in the open bracket, this will be through FACEIT, with registrations opening today.

As for dates, there will be online open play between February 4-5, Major qualifiers on February 8, all so the rosters can be locked in for pool play on February 9.

We can expect further information relating to the HCS partnership programme and the full roadmap for 2023 to arrive soon.
