Sloclap and Devolver Digital have released a Halloween update for Absolver, including a new prestige level system as well as new equipment sets, spooky masks, and a bald hairstyle.

The new update arrives alongside the Halloween event for the game, which makes all the 1v1 maps take place at night as well as giving each of the game's six Marked Ones a Halloween mask for players to collect.

In terms of the new prestige system, this adds progression levels beyond level 60 as well as new subsystems for players to get upgrading. Rift Coins and Rift Disks also replace loot drops in Combat Trials, and these can then be traded for rare equipment and weapons. Crystals, however, are awarded at each new prestige level, and can be used to reset attribute points to acquire more Rift Disks. New sorting, salvaging, and repairing options have also been added on top of this.

Of course there are multiple tweaks and balances with the update too, and if you have yet to get into the action, you may be pleased to hear there's a 20% discount on Steam, so it now costs £19.99. Is this the best update yet?
