Yesterday, we reported that Airtight Games - the studio behind Murdered: Soul Suspect, Dark Void and Quantum Conundrum - had apparently closed down, after Gamasutra posted a report of the company's offices shuttered and equipment being sold off.
Today, Airtight Games confirmed that news on Twitter, thanking everyone who supported them in their ten years of activity:
Thanks to all of the fans, family, friends and colleagues who supported us and made the last 10 years possible..
At the moment, it's not clear why the studio closed down, although it seems that there were financial troubles since last January, when the company had to lay off 14 employees. To confirm that instability, one of Airtight's employees, Murdered: Soul Suspect's lightning artist, Lee Scheinbeim, wrote on Twitter:
News of Airtight Games closing broke today but layoffs started as far back as January and many of us are still looking.
