While we never got a single-player expansion for Doom, we did receive a number of map packs for the game's multiplayer suite, and now a new update aptly named "Update 6.66" has made all of this multiplayer content free for everyone forever.
The map packs called Unto the Evil, Hell Followed, and Bloodfall can now be acquired for free, and these used to have a combined value of $39.99 USD. If you don't own Doom, though, this weekend the game will be free on PC and Xbox One, with a free weekend on PS4 marked for next weekend, so you can give it a try then. Additionally, the price has been sliced to £11.99 on digital platforms.
Is the multiplayer DLC enough to entice those of you who have yet to pick up Doom?
