It's been six years since the fairly divisive Alice: Madness Returns launched, so fans have been hoping for a third adventure in Wonderland for a long time. American McGee, the series' creator, said that he wasn't sure enough people wanted a third game, but gauged the interest for it four years ago.

A new message on his blog reveals that he's about to start on a proposal or design-document for the third game, tentatively titled Alice: Asylum. This document will, as usual, include some artwork, a design outline, and financial/business models, and will be sent to EA, who owns the rights for the series, upon completion. That makes it clear that McGee now really wants to make a new Alice game, and that it now depends on EA.

It seems like he also wants to show EA that people are interested in Alice 3, as he also suggests that we sign up for the mailing list found on his blog.

What do you think about the Alice games? Would you like a third one?
