The list of European sports teams leaping into the ever growing world of esports has grown a little longer, with Russian team FC Anji the latest to reveal the creation of their own Dota 2 team (it's actually a bit of a surprise that they didn't go for FIFA 17, given the obvious parallels, but the club wants to expand into new areas).

To kick things off for its new team, the club has signed Ukrainian ex-Na'Vi player Alexander "XBOCT" Dashkevich. XBOCT has been without a team since August 2016 when his former employers, Team Spirit, disbanded.

XBOCT's first official tournament will be the CIS open qualifiers for the upcoming Kiev Major, where he will play as a stand-in for a mix team called "Team BMF" (the other four players will be announced by the club in due course).
