While the main players on the antigrav racing scene are taking an extended break. It's been a while since a new Wipeout or F-Zero after all, it's the smaller indie companies picking up the slack and one such company is Cybernetic Walrus who prepare to launch Antigraviator this spring.
"The game is inspired by classics like Wipeout and F-Zero but we mix in a little of Split/Second in there", says Cybernetic Walrus CEO Mike Coeck. "So what we have is we have environmental traps that are positioned around the track and if you're in a position where you're behind somebody you can actually activate those traps on the player."
The plan is to release the PC version of the game before the summer (that's very soon!), with the console versions (PS4/Xbox One) due "end of summer, right after summer, something like that".
