If Sea of Thieves doesn't offer enough piracy for you then take note of Atlas, the new game by Ark: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard. The game, which was unveiled properly tonight at The Game Awards (after a trailer leaked earlier this year), is a fantasy pirate-themed MMO that has a rather impressive sense of scale.

According to the game's creators, Atlas will support more than 400K players on the same servers simultaneously. The open-world setting is filled with bizarre looking monsters, giant fish, and fire-breathing dragons, as you can see in the screens and trailer added below. Expect to sail giant ships, exchange fire with monsters and other players alike, search for treasure (because what's a pirate game without a treasure map or two), and get into the odd bare-knuckle brawl.

What's more, we don't have long to wait before we get to see more of the game, as it's launching on December 13 on Steam. Check it out below.
