Bohemia Interactive has just told us that its popular military simulator, Arma III, has sold more than four million copies, and the studio is duly celebrating with a free weekend over on Steam (which starts from, well, right now and runs through until April 30 at 6 pm BST / 7 pm CEST).

Over four million players in a super-hard, unforgiving sim like Arma III is, of course, very impressive and something that should be celebrated. We must also not forget that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and DayZ both started as community-made mods for Arma games and would never have seen the light of day if it wasn't for Bohemia's enduring framework.

Arma III

REVIEW. Written by Simon Eriksson

"Arma III isn't a flawless game, but instead a game with plenty of flaws, but these are routinely overshadowed by the insane ambition of the developers."
