When Telltale Games closed last year, a lot of the projects had giant question marks above them or were canceled entirely, but it seems as if Batman's Telltale Series could be returning, as Gematsu reports that an alleged press release (which has apparently now been deleted) reveals the Shadows Edition for the game, coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
This press release reportedly came from Athlon Games, who says that it's getting a noir-style makeover, a graphical upgrade, and new DLC, all for $29.99 USD.
Even those who have the game can add what's called 'Shadows Mode' as standalone DLC for $4.99, according to the same report.
Athlon Games and Telltale have a publishing agreement, so it makes sense the news comes from them, as they also have a deal for Batman: The Enemy Within and The Wolf Among Us.
"We're excited to be able to build and continue the legacy of an iconic Telltale Games franchise by launching The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition today," Telltale Games CEO Jamie Ottilie reportedly says in the press release. "This is just the beginning in a much more expansive plan to build on our catalog of Telltale Games titles, which we hope to discuss in further detail in the coming months."
Since this has been deleted, it's worth taking this with a pinch of salt, although it seems plausible that Batman's Telltale Series could resurface, since it first started in 2016, with The Enemy Within coming to a close last year.
