Interplay and Bethesda have, according to reports, settled their lawsuit over the rights to Interplay's proposed MMO set in the Fallout universe.
Bethesda initially stated that any MMO made by Interplay could carry the Fallout branding, but could not include characters and settings taken from the game. This stance gave rise to friction between the two companies, which led to a lawsuit (initiated by Bethesda) back in 2010.
The terms of the settlement, which came on the day the case was due in court, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The initial announcement came from Duck and Cover.
So now the only questions that remain are; did Interplay cash in their chips (and for how much?) or might we still see a Fallout MMO in the near future? As soon as we know, you'll know.
