We're no stranger to lawsuits in the world of video games, and now Austrian newspaper Standard has reported that Bethesda is is targeting Austrian right-wing populists FPÖ for logo theft, as a cease-and-desist declaration was allegedly sent to the FPÖ on charges of copyright infringement. It concerns a picture shared via social media including a hand in a red octagon, with the whole thing resembling a stop sign.

This hand, however, looks remarkably similar to that of the Dark Brotherhood in the Elder Scrolls series. A spokeswoman from Bethesda confirms this to the Standard, as well as the dispatch of the cease-and-desist declaration to the FPÖ. The FPÖ currently continues to argue that no copyright infringement has occurred because the logo isn't officially protected, and that the graphic is "free", according to a spokesman for the party.

Below are the two logos side by side. Do you see the similarity?
