Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2

Capcom has officially announced Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, sequel to the popular remake of the NES version of Bionic Commando released on digital platforms back in 2008. Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 is in development at Fatshark (Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West), but something tells me Might & Delight, the newly announced company founded by the original Bionic Commando: Rearmed team are involved on some level. The fact sheet does in fact state that the music has been created by the same man, Simon Viklund, responsible for the remixed soundtrack of Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Viklund also served as producer on the project.

Nathan Spencer has grabbed a few new platforming techniques including "jump", which will hopefully make for a somewhat more forgiving experience. Two player co-operative play also makes a return in Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2.

The game is currently planned for released in the first quarter of 2011 on PSN and XBLA (sadly no word on a PC release at this time).
