Black Desert Online grows even larger with Mediah

Daum Games announced the first expansion for Black Desert Online today. Titled the Mediah Expansion it promises to increase the size of the already impressive world by 30%, this increase in size comes from the game's new region 'Mediah'.

As well as the new region the expansion will also add:

- Over 1,000 new quests
- Kzarka - An enormous boss that can take on hundreds of players at a time
- New guild missions, including special bosses that drop formidable weapons
- Crimson Battlefield - Instanced 40v40 skirmishes that players can queue for in groups of five or solo
- New weapons and more powerful armor set
- Craftable Alchemy Stones allow players to apply Attack, Defense, or Life bonuses to their equipment
- Equipment can be enchanted to higher levels

The trailer for the expansion shows us sweeping vistas and bustling markets as well as new enemies to face and new locations to explore. Daum Games says that whether you're a new or a seasoned player, there's something for everyone in the new expansion.

The expansion will be available from March 30 and will be free to everyone playing the game.
