Black Mesa Source dated

The long awaited mod that will allow players to experience the original Half-Life via Valve's Source engine, is set to be unleashed on an eager community on September 14.

Project leader Carlos Montero posted on the Black Mesa Source forum: "On September 14th you will see the first release of Black Mesa! This will include our re-envisioning of Half-Life all the way up to Lambda Core. We believe this is a great way to provide a complete-feeling 8-10 hour experience with a solid ending, make our fans happy and help us make the best overall game possible."

We've been made to wait for this one for a while now (the trailer below was originally released way back in 2008), and we can't wait to revisit the first outing of Dr. Gordon Freeman.
