A few days ago, 100 Thieves announced their withdrawal from the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene, after several logistical issues regarding supporting a roster effectively. This announcement has led to a few tweaks in tournaments that were planning on seeing 100T compete, the most recent of which is the BLAST Premier Fall Series.

As a way of accommodating for the change, the tournament has invited FURIA to replace 100T, making for the second replacement roster behind BIG filling in for Liquid. Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST spoke about the tournament in a blog.

"We're over the moon that we'll be able to bring the 12 BLAST Premier Fall Series competing teams to Europe and welcome the exciting additions of FURIA and BIG - the Counter Strike scene has been crying out for both regions to renew rivalries in recent months and we're delighted that we can deliver this for fans. The additions of BIG and FURIA will bring two hugely talented rosters into the Fall Series with both teams ranked in the top ten. This will be the first time in months that CS teams from Europe and Americas will compete against each other and represents a positive step forward for the ecosystem."

The start of group stages for the Fall Series start as soon as October 26, with the event set to last all the way until November 4. Make sure to check it out here.
