Electronic Arts and German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund have just announced their official partnership with the start of the Bundesliga season, meaning that BVB's current version of the Westfalenstadion (aka Signal Iduna Park) will be in the game, as well as new and updated faces of Dortmund stars like Marco Reus and Mario Götze.
BVB Managing Director Carsten Cramer says: "The gaming community has been growing for years, and we are pleased to see that, in addition to real football, virtual football is becoming more popular every year. We are very happy about the partnership with EA SPORTS and are also looking forward to an exciting season with FIFA 19 in the field of gaming. With the integration of the UEFA Champions League our BVB is now also competing virtually on the turf of the premier league in FIFA 19."
If you cast your minds back to the start of June, Dortmund broke off their deal with PES 2019, so perhaps this is the reason why. Is Dortmund a good addition to FIFA?
