Revolution Software have confirmed that Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse, the first episode was originally released on PC in December 2013 with the second episode arriving in April of 2014. The game was originally funded via Kickstarter. Revolution will publish the digital new-gen version themselves while a retail edition published by Ravenscourt is also in the works (these will include the game's introduction in the form of a graphic novel).

"We are delighted to bring Broken Sword 5 to PS4 and Xbox One - with enhancements over the other versions including additional animation and audio, a character gallery section and many console-specific enhancements. The Broken Sword games have a proud history on previous PlayStation and Xbox consoles. There is such a loyal following for the Broken Sword games, as demonstrated by the 15,000 fans who backed the original Kickstarter campaign - it's fantastic to now be able to bring the game to all those console owners who have requested that we write the game for their favourite platform" said Charles Cecil, Founder & CEO of Revolution Software.
