Recently Peter Dinklage, the voice actor behind the Ghost character in Destiny, was dropped from the game, and replaced with Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North. The curious part of the announcement was that not only would North voice the Ghost character in the upcoming expansion, The Taken King, he would also be replacing all of Dinklage's lines from the original game.

Now Bungie Executive Producer Mark Noseworthy have spoken with GameInformer about the decision, and whether Dinklage was dropped because of the overwhelming negative fan reaction to his performance.

Noseworthy was asked if the decision was based on fan criticism, his performance or straight up "Hollywood nonsense", and he answered:

"It's more on the nonsense side of things," Noseworthy responded. "Dinklage was awesome to work with but we needed to work with someone who is more available. Nolan is a pro, this is his thing.

"You can just call him up and say 'hey, next week we're doing this internal play test and it would be great to get some Ghost dialogue in there'. And he's available."

The Taken King launches on September 15th.
