Call of Duty League 2022 Championship Weekend planned for early August

Activision has revealed that the Call of Duty League's Championship Weekend for the 2022 season will officially be taking place this August and will be held in Los Angeles.

Announced in a new update post, we're told that the premier event for the season is set for August 4-7, and likewise that ticket sales for those looking to be in physical attendance for the tournament will start with presales on June 27.

As for where exactly in Los Angeles the event will be held, that will be the USC Galen Center, and as for the format of the tournament, eight of the 12 franchised teams will qualify, and will then compete in a bracket where top seeded teams no longer get the advantage of bye rounds, as each team will start in Winners Round 1.
