An official from the South Korean National Assembly's Gender Equality and Family Committee is reportedly working on a bill regarding sexual harassment in video games, as reported by Naver (and brought to us via Dot Esports), with the idea being to make sexual harassment in games punishable by law so as to protect players from this kind of behaviour.

Several games suffer from a toxic environment created by some players, but Overwatch - the game used as an example - is moderated by Blizzard, and uses a reporting system that allows players to identify other players acting in an inappropriate way.

Usually it's up to the publishers and developers to punish this behaviour, but this bill could take things further with harsher punishments, although no actual examples were shared in the report.

Is this a good idea to you?
