Capcom announces Resident Evil HD Remaster

Capcom have announced another remake of the seminal Resident Evil from 1996 that was remade for Gamecube in 2002 (and Wii in 2008) is coming early next year on new-gen and as well as PS3 and Xbox 360 (Japan is getting those versions late November). The game will feature improved textures and lighting as well as 1080p resolution. The character models have also been reworked. You will be able to choose between playing it as originally intended in 4:3 aspect ratio or in widescreen 16:9 and in addition to the classic controls there is also a more modern alternative.
