Yesterday we reported on Capcom seemingly cancelling the development of Dead Rising 5 at their studio in Vancouver, and now the fate of the studio has been sealed as the publisher is shutting it down. At the time of the closure, the studio had 158 employees after some layoffs earlier this year.
Capcom Vancouver, originally known as Blue Castle Games, was best known for their work on the Dead Rising franchise (entries 2-4), but also released a few baseball games around 2007-2009 (The Bigs notably), as well as 2017 Puzzle Fighter on mobile.
Our thoughts are with the developers who lost their jobs as a result of the closure.
Thanks, Kotaku.
