The developers of Carmageddon Reincarnation are bringing over their game to consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) - renaming it Carmageddon: Max Damage. But fear not if you own a copy of Carmageddon Reincarnation on PC it will be updated to Carmageddon: Max Damage upon its release. Stainless have been making a lot of progress with the PC version of the game as it was initially met with a lot of disappointment (particularly in terms of the performance side of things), but now it seems Stainless have sorted most if not all of these issues. Which means it's a lot easier to be positive about the console port...

"We're excited that players on these new platforms will soon be able to enter the warped world of Carmageddon: Max Damage, the carnage-filled antidote to racing games!" - said Neil Barnden, brand director via press release.

No date has been set yet, but Carmageddon: Max Damage is coming this year and it will feature the following bullet points.

• Over 30 cool custom killing machines, each with their own highly distinctive character
• 10 large open environments to explore
• A host of moving targets to hunt down for points, including pedestrians in wheelchairs & mobility scooters, cyclists, bears and aliens
• Career mode with 6 different event types
• Multiplayer with 4 online event types
• Fully featured action replay mode; to relive all the action again from any perspective.
• ... with over 90 crazy PowerUps, complex car damage and repair system, blood, laughs and much, much more.
