The World Showdown of Esports (WSOE) Fortnite tournament rounded off 2018 by hosting some competitive Fortnite action, and while there was controversy about another mid-tournament item addition from Epic, the two winners that emerged were Davis 'Ceice' McClellan and Thomas 'Elevate' Krueger.

50 teams descended on the competition, but it was this pair who walked away with the top prize of $40,000 USD, finishing 20 points about second place with a total of 610 points. Neither of these players were expected to win this either, considering their success in the past, so it came as a bit of a surprise to see them win.

Did you keep up with the action?
