Charts: US August

No surprises as Madden NFL 10 led the charts during August in America (US). Wii Sports Resort continues to do extremely well increasing sales from last month. Batman: Arkham Asylum combined for almost 600000 units across PS3 and Xbox 360 as it was released towards the end of the month, chances are good next month will take it above the million mark in the US alone.

On the hardware side of things Playstation 3 benefited from the launch of PS3 Slim at the end of the month and the preceding price cut on the older model. Xbox 360 also benefited from a price cut while Nintendo's platforms continues to outperform its rivals.
