Circuit Superstars is the next Square Enix Collective title

Square Enix has announced another indie title as part of their Collective program. Circuit Superstars is a top-down racer that takes some of the evolution the genre has seen over the last few decades and mixes it with a more classic top-down perspective.

The development team stated that they "wanted to try something different" for the genre, by bringing in more realistic physics to this style of racer. Typically, top-down racing games are arcadey in their approach and feature less complex racing physics than their fully 3D-rendered counterparts. The team are looking to bring together a bunch of different "eras and style of motorsport" to the game.

Circuit Superstars will release in 2020 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
