Not too long ago developers Firaxis Games and publishers 2K Games released the highly anticipated strategy title, Civilization VI, and it looks like it's the fastest selling game in the franchise's twenty five year history.
In the earnings report for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2017, the publishers revealed that the game has shipped ten million units to stores that, while it's not equivalent to how many copies gamers have actually bought it, is a good indication for the demand.
"Civilization VI is the fastest-selling title in the history of the series and is exceeding our expectations, with sell-in already surpassing 1 million units," they told Gamesbeat (via Venturebeat).
To say that we quite liked the game is somewhat of an understatement, so we're happy to hear that it got off to a solid start.
