Cloud9 has got a jump on the League of Legends off-season, by already announcing its 2023 LCS roster and coaching staff. The team includes various returning faces and individuals from both the main team and the academy roster, with various names all shifting around in positions.

Specifically, on the main roster, following the release of Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen, Dimitri "Diplex" Ponomarev is now the team's mid laner. The rest of the active roster will not be changing at all.

As for the coaching staff, a game of musical chairs is being played. Alfonso "Mithy" Aguirre Rodríguez is now locked in as head coach, whereas former head coach Maxwell Alexander "Max Waldo" Waldo is now moving to become a position coach. And finally, Seong "Reven" Sang-hyeon and Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam are leaving the main team to join the academy roster as coaches.

We'll just have to see whether this revamped team will be able to defend its 2022 LCS championship when the 2023 season takes place.
