The esports organisation, Complexity Gaming, has announced that it has extended its partnership with the U.S. Army for a fifth year running. The deal, which will see the pair continue to work together on an array of tournaments and activations, will be headlined by the Soldier Showdown event making its return next month.

Set to make its comeback on May 6, the tournament will be split into three sections, with the first being dedicated to MultiVersus in May, and then being followed up with Rocket League in July, and then finally Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 in September. The top ranked players following these will travel to Complexity's headquarters in November for a live finals event.

"Over the last four instalments of the Soldier Showdown, we have seen how friendly competition and community building can strengthen the bonds among our servicemen and women," said Justin Kenna, CEO, GameSquare, Complexity's parent organisation. "We're incredibly proud of our continued collaboration with the U.S. Army and are looking forward to expanding our partnership to make a positive impact on those who serve."

There is no mention as to the financials behind this extension.
