Crash Bandicoot: Nsane Trilogy was released last year for the PS4, but on June 29 the icon will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox, which is probably why we were joined by the team at E3 to show us some of the game on Xbox One X and the new level coming in the package, also landing as free DLC to the PS4 version.

This new level is called Future Tense, being made available in Crash: Warped, and is actually the first and only original level introduced into the package (Stormy Ascent was based on a scrapped one). The level includes brighter lighting sets, changed AI behaviours, and a new obstacle called the Water Wheel, and what's more is that the design has been made to match the futuristic settings of other levels in the game.

There's replay value in there as well, since you can take the critical path at any time, but to get to the extra bits in the level you'll need Crash's abilities like the bazooka. Time trials also add replay value as you'd expect, and from what we saw on the hands-off demonstration it looks like a worthy addition to the package, and perhaps bodes well for future content.

It's worth noting also that Stormy Ascent comes as free DLC on June 15 for PS4 players, and that this will also be included in the re-released package, so if you have yet to dive into the Nsane Trilogy, now might be the best chance.

Have you had a chance to play it yet?
