The third tournament cycle for the 2022 Overwatch League has officially come to an end, as the Summer Showdown, hosted by the Toronto Defiant, has wrapped up. Following a few days of competition, we now have two victors to talk about, one for the West Division and one for the East.

For the West, it was the number one seed who proved its dominance, as the Dallas Fuel has been crowned champion. The team defeated the San Francisco Shock to claim the tournament, and has brought home an array of OWL Points to further close the gap with the Shock and the Los Angeles Gladiators in the regular season standings.

As for the East, the Shanghai Dragons are back on top. After defeating the Seoul Dynasty, the 2021 champs are continuing another dominant season, where it currently finds itself tied with the Dynasty in the overall standings.

As for what's next for the Overwatch League, the next tournament cycle will start on September 22, when the Countdown Cup Qualifiers kick off.
