Daytona USA to hit XBLA/PSN?

Daytona USA might very well go into the gaming bible as the best racing game from the arcades, ever. If you are able to find an arcade that still carries the game in it's 4 or 8 player setup, fun are almost guaranteed.

Everyone who has never had a chance to play the arcade-classic in it's natural habitat though might soon get to give the game a go on their consoles. That is because the Australian Classification Database has just listed the game as a multi-platform title, starting speculation that the game will be released as a download title for the likes of Xbox Live Arcade and PSN.

It's not the first Sega classic to make a return - we've already seen Sega Rally and Outrun re-released on digital platforms. The question is, will this be a strict port of the original, or a remix that incorporates it and the sequel?
