Dead Space 2 gets DLC

Two new single player missions

Wonder why EA was pushing the re-release of Wii title Extraction as a package deal with Dead Space 2? Well, aside from a very nice bonus for fans, it turns out the on-rails shooter will see its two protagonists, Gabe Weller and Lexine Murdock, return in DLC for Visceral's sequel.

The DLC, named Dead Space: Severed, will take the form of two new single player missions featuring the characters, and will run in parallel to the main Dead Space 2 storyline. No news on release date or DLC size yet.

Dead Space 2 is released this Friday on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. You can read our review here.
