What do Dead Space and the Tiger Woods series of golf games have in common? Well, it turns out quite a lot, at least when it comes to the engine they both used.
When a Twitter user pointed out how many crossovers Dead Space hero Isaac Clarke made into other EA franchises, former level designer Ben Johnson responded by saying that all of the mentioned games used "the same basic model rig", making it easy to just import the model over.
On top of that, "Dead Space's engine was a branch off of Tiger Woods, which was made in the same studio as Dead Space back then".
That's a very fun fact indeed, and right now Johnson is actually working at Double Fine, developing Psychonauts 2.
Tiger Woods wasn't the only franchise that included Clarke either, as NBA Jam and Skate 3 both saw cameos from the horror protagonist, who certainly showed a knack for various sports in his time.
