Spanish duo Fictiorama Studios and Badland Games have announced that the adventure game Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is now in development for the Nintendo Switch, following on from other versions on mobile, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The press release doesn't mention any improvements or how the game will use Switch features, nor does it mention if this is a direct port or will make use of the touch screen. The announcement does come with a new trailer, though, but it's a composition made with almost the same screens included in the PS4 launch trailer, albeit in a different order.

Dead Synchronicity's 2D graphics pay homage to German Expressionism and remind us of classic European comics as well, and the game features English and German dialogue with subs in other languages.

"Dead Synchronicity tells the story of Michael, a man with no past who must recover his identity and decode the two events that brought the world to the edge of collapse," the synopsis reads. "The first is the so-called "Great Wave," an inexplicable chain of natural disasters. The second is a pandemic that has turned humans into "the Dissolved," infected beings with special cognitive powers whose sick bodies will eventually dissolve into blood. If Michael doesn't hurry, he won't be able to avoid the impending moment of "dead synchronicity"... when time itself starts to dissolve."

Is this version the right time to jump into the game, for those who have yet to do so?
