When Season of the Seraph was unveiled to be the latest Destiny 2 season earlier this week, Bungie revealed that this final chapter of The Witch Queen-era would also include an entire extra dungeon. For the most part of the week, Bungie kept details relating to the dungeon incredibly close to the chest, to ensure not to spoil any of the secrets that it will hold, however, it's now time for this very dungeon to arrive, meaning a boatload of details have been shared.

Set to be known as Spire of the Watcher, this dungeon will be accessible for anyone who owns either Destiny 2: The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition or The Witch Queen Dungeon Key, with the dungeon itself opening when the daily reset takes place at 17:00 GMT / 18:00 CET.

As for what kinds of challenges will await Guardians in this endgame activity, Spire of the Watcher will ask a three-person fireteam to head to Mars to infiltrate a facility where the Vex are gathering in an attempt to prevent the Guardians from restoring the Warmind Rasputin back to its former self. This will mean completing an array of new encounters that will push even the best fireteams to the limits, but in return a deep collection of new weapons, gear, and Triumphs will be on offer.

In total, there will be an entire new armour set to unlock, as well as four Legendary weapons, a new Seal packed with Triumph challenges that when completed will unlock the title, Wanted, and a brand-new Exotic bow called Hierarchy of Needs will also become available to add to your collection.

Be sure to leap into the challenge for yourself in a few hours, when Spire of the Watcher debuts in Destiny 2.
