Dex Kickstarter passes Wii U stretch goal

PC, Mac, Linux and Ouya joined by Wii U version.

The Kickstarter campaign for Dex, the 2D side-scrolling cyberpunk RPG, has reached its stretch goal and will now also make an appearance on Wii U as well as PC, Ouya, Mac and Linux.

Dex is intended to be released in June 2014, on all platforms (the game was also recently passed through the Steam Green Light process). Influences mentioned in the announcement include Castlevania and Metroid, "with a smattering of Deus Ex and Splinter Cell". The story is inspired by several cyberpunk authors, in particular, William Gibson.

The original target was a modest £14,000, and this figure has been almost nearly doubled (the campaign finishes tomorrow). A new gameplay trailer landed for the title, so you can see it in action below along with some screens.
