When Blizzard revealed that they were bringing the original Diablo to Diablo III, they only said it would come in 2017. Yesterday we got a preview of the patch, and today it's live.
The most noteworthy change is obviously the remade Diablo. If you want access to this, you'll have to hunt down a mysterious group of Cultists in Adventure mode, and killing these will uncover clues that reveal a portal in Old Tristram. Enter this portal and you're taken to the pixelated filter dungeons, with original locked camera, movement in eight directions, repetitive sounds, and classic UI that you'll remember from the game that started it all. Just remember that feature will only be available this month, and you can get a taste of this in the developer diary at the bottom.
But that's not all. The patch also includes a lot of balancing changes and bug fixes for both PC and consoles.
Will you explore the classic dungeons this month?
