While Diablo fans will likely have their attention turned to Diablo IV, which was officially announced at BlizzCon last week, there's more news on Diablo Immortal, the game that was revealed at last year's event, leading to a lot of criticism from the community since it's a mobile game.

Blizzard has now revealed a brand new gameplay trailer to coincide with BlizzCon 2019, and we also have some new details as well, including an increased emphasis on online multiplayer, like "persistent shared zones", instanced dungeons for up to four players, Guild support, and more.

As a reminder, Diablo Immortal takes place between II and III, with Sanctuary recovering from Baal's invasion, although other evil forces want the Worldstone remains for their own nefarious goals. Your hero will be an original character battling this evil, and there are six classes available to select - Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Wizard, and Necromancer.

Attendees at BlizzCon could try the Demon Hunter for the first time in a new demo, and we also now know about a new base game mechanic called Ultimate Abilities. All classes gain charge for an Ultimate by attacking, and you can use this to augment your basic attack for a while, upping their capabilities.

The equipment system has also been detailed as well, as there are skill-changing Legendary items, like turning the fireball of a Scorch into a frozen orb, or changing how Exploding Palm targets enemies and deals damage.

This is visible in the newest trailer below, and there are even some fresh screens too. As for when we can expect more details, these are coming next year.
