At the Anime Expo 2019 a Future of Digimon panel took place to update fans on the franchise, and thanks to RPG Site's live tweeting of the event we found out all the news, including the fact that the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna film will hit US cinemas in spring 2020.
Speaking of 2020, this is now the release window for Digimon: Survive, which was previously said to be releasing this year. It'll be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, and Bandai Namco's Kazumasa Habu said that if there's enough interest, previous Digimon games may be ported to the Switch as well.
That said, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition - collecting together both the original and Hacker's Memory - will be releasing on Switch and PC on October 18. We even find out that a new Digimon Story is coming, but it won't be a Cyber Sleuth sequel.
Digimon: Survive will take place entirely in the real world, not a virtual world, and at the panel we also hear about how it's tied to Japanese mythology.
Have you been looking forward to Survive?
Thanks, Gematsu.
