Dion DiMucci launches lawsuit against ZeniMax

The company which owns Bethesda, ZeniMax, is involved in a new lawsuit, conducted by a '60s folk singer, Dion DiMucci, who is also the writer of the song used in a Fallout 4 live action trailer entitled "The Wanderer". According to The Wrap, Dion doesn't appreciate how his song is used in that video, and especially because of the images associated with it.

According to Dion, the advertisement is "objectionable because they featured repeated homicides in a dark, dystopian landscape, where violence is glorified as sport. The killings and physical violence were not to protect innocent life, but instead were repugnant and morally indefensible images designed to appeal to young consumers."

According to the report the singer had a deal with UMG Recordings in which Bethesda could use the song in Fallout 4, but as a clause the singer also has the opportunity to ask for a higher fee or to prohibit the use of the song in something that he didn't appreciate.
