Those of you who have kept an eye on Marvel Heroes 2016 (or Marvel Heroes Omega as it's known as on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) over the last few weeks might have noticed that the game hasn't received the updates we expected to see, including the Halloween event and new tie-in content for Thor Ragnarok. Now we know why.

Disney has announced that they've decided to end their relationship with Gazillion Entertainment, the developers of the game. We're also told that they're planning to shut down the servers in the near future and that we'll get more specific details when their plans have been finalised.

This is definitely a real shame, as the free-to-play MMO has come a very long way since its original PC launch back in 2013. Unfortunately, the competition is very strong amongst the F2P MMO games, so this is one example of the DC Universe enduring when Marvel's offering could not.

Have you tried the game? If so, how do you feel about this news?
