Donkey Kong is heading to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

The House of Mario just dropped a mini Nintendo Direct which contained a few short announcements, one of which centred around last year's surprising mashup starring the Kyoto-based company's most famous character and Ubisoft's cute little critters, the Rabbids.

That's right, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is getting some new DLC in the form of a new playable character, with another Nintendo favourite set to make an appearance with his own story set in a new world. Donkey Kong himself is set to grace the turn-based strategy title in a new DLC expansion, which is set to land at some point in the spring.
