The ESL FACEIT Group has announced that competitive Dota 2 will be heading to Germany this spring. The country will be the host of the ESL One Berlin Major and will see the 18 best Dota 2 teams competing for a share of the $500,000 prize pool, as well as points for The International 12, which will be held at some point in late 2023.

We're told in a press release that the Berlin Major will be held between April 26 and May 7, and will be hosted at the Velodrom in the city. As for how the participating teams will be decided, it's noted that the best two-to-four teams from each region of the Dota Pro Circuit will be in attendance (judging by results from the Spring Tour), and that the format for the event will be a best-of-two round-robin two-group stage, all before the top six teams from the event move forward to a double-elimination Playoff Stage.

Tickets for the event will go on sale later today, and you can catch the action when it takes place in April/May right here.
