Xbox has announced that, to celebrate the backwards compatibility catalogue reaching 300, they are gifting Xbox One owners with the opportunity to download classic Japanese RPG Lost Odyssey for free, with the offer expiring on December 31.

"Originally released in 2008 for the Xbox 360 in North America, Lost Odyssey was developed by Mistwalker, a legendary game studio made up of many icons in gaming including the creator of Final Fantasy, Hironobu Sakaguchi. Other talents who contributed to Lost Odyssey included the legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu and author Kiyoshi Shigematsu," the announcement says.

This comes a couple of months after Lost Odyssey was made playable on Xbox One as part of backwards compatibility. The question is: will you be downloading this now, or have you already got it?
