The original Dragon's Dogma released in 2012 to a somewhat lukewarm reception as Capcom's epic fantasy showed some promise but lacked polish and execution. However, it slowly grew on the community partially thanks to the Dark Arisen expansion, even to the point of getting a significant fanbase and the consequent enhanced and expanded ports on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Now, same as happened with other open-world hits such as Skyrim or ARK, the open-world adventure heads to Switch really soon, as Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will release on April 23 (at a reduced retail price of 29,99 dollars/euros).
As the trailer below shows, the game will be playable both on TV mode or on the go as a portable game, which fits really good with the experience. Besides, the Pawns mechanic, once a novel and fresh approach, will remain untouched here, with no Nintendo Switch Online membership required to share abilities between players.
The announcement comes right when the community is requesting a sequel. What did you think of Capcom's take on open-world action-RPG with a touch of Monster Hunter? Are you willing to play it on the Switch?
