Adult Swim's new game Wasted, is what developer Mr Podunkian is calling a post apocalyptic pub crawler, and as the name implies it takes the post apocalypse setting that we have seen so many times before and completely flips it on its head.

Based around humanity's need for radioactive booze, this roguelike-like dungeon/pub crawler has your character fighting to find the hidden bottles of alcohol left over from the apocalypse. Set in the 1980s with the music to go along with it, this seems to be another piece of comedic action that Adult Swim are known for publishing.

GRTV caught up with Sean Baptiste, the product marketing manager for Adult Swim, at the E3 Mixer, and got hands-on with Wasted. The game has two modes, story and daily courier. Story follows your character and daily courier is a randomly generated map and player where you simply have to survive for as long as possible.

Baptiste explained that "if you spend too much time on a level you'll be attacked by the S.O.B. The Society Of Buzzkills", the enemies of the game who are out to stop you from having fun.

Baptiste says: "It's not about collecting everything it's about making it as fast as you can through each level. And making very smart choices." That sounds like a game perfect for speedrunners.

The game is now available on Steam and when asked if it will come to other platforms Baptiste said: "Not right now, but if you buy it we'll look into it."

Check out GRTV's interview here with a look at some of the gameplay.
