Early adopters angry with Shadow of the Tomb Raider

The third entry in the rebooted origins trilogy of Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, was released on September 14, 2018. The reception was somewhat mixed here's our review, and sales were perhaps not what publisher Square Enix had hoped for.

When sales disappoint, prices tend to drop and recently the game enjoyed a sizable discount on Steam (-34%) (product page), with an even greater discount on the Croft Edition (--47%). Great news for those who haven't picked up the game yet, but for some early adopters it's hard to swallow.

The Steam page of Shadow of the Tomb Raider currently bears witness to the rage of the people in the form of negative user reviews. It seems that the vast majority of negative user reviews come from Chinese users.

How do you feel about a relatively high profile new game going on sale? Maybe you should wait a little while to buy your next game, cause it may be cheaper in a month...
